Musical Theatre Rank: Instructor/Professor of Practice The School of Music in the College of Music and Performing Arts at Belmont University is seeking applications for a non-tenure track Instructor/Professor of Practice of Musical Theatre, beginning August 1, 2027. The primary responsibilities for this position include collaborating (as Music Director) in preparing a cohesive, artistic and stylistic vision for mainstage musical productions, including accompanying all rehearsals, teaching harmonies, vocal arrangements, ensemble numbers, assist the creative team during auditions and callbacks to assess the vocal capabilities and ranges of student performers, conduct and/or play piano for the pit orchestra, oversee key milestones like sitzprobe and liaison with sound designer and sound engineer to create mic plots and notate scripts.
