College of Nursing - Lead Peer Tutor

Position Overview The Lead Peer Tutor role is designed for nursing students who provide academic support to designated student cohorts based on program progression. Rather than selecting a single course, each Lead Peer Tutor will support a course(s) aligned with a specific level of the nursing curriculum. This role emphasizes collaborative leadership, relationship-building, and the promotion of independent, active learning strategies. Lead Peer Tutors serve as mandatory group tutors, develop academic resources, and offer guidance to fellow peer tutors. They play a key role in helping students build confidence, adopt effective study strategies, and approach their coursework with resilience and a growth mindset.
