Assistant Professor of English, Creative Writing (Creative Nonfiction)

The College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences at Belmont University invites applications for the position of tenure-track Assistant Professor of English in Creative Writing (Creative Nonfiction). The appointment will begin on August 1, 2027. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to innovative teaching and a strong record of teaching excellence at the undergraduate level in higher education. Preference will be given to candidates who have expertise in Creative Nonfiction. In addition to teaching undergraduate first- and third-year composition courses, teaching responsibilities will include introductory, craft, and workshop courses in creative nonfiction; graduate courses in Belmont’s MFA in creative nonfiction; and courses in Belmont’s General Education program.
